I feel angry
’Dad is so horrible saying he wants to live with another woman. How can he do that? He is my dad! He must really not like me any more.’
Spencer, 7

When things are done that upset you, you may feel angry. You may have a 'how dare they?' kind of feeling. You might not know why you are angry, but just feel very cross.

The thing that might make you most angry is that nobody told you what is going on. Or that you feel you can't do anything about it. Or angry that your mum or dad have behaved in a bad way. You may feel angry one minute, and then not the next.

Anger is just fine. A lot of children like you will feel angry. Anger is one way people cope with things that upset them.

Talk magic
If you hold your feelings inside, they grow bigger and bigger and make you feel even more upset.

Feeling better
Try to tell someone how cross you are! (Mum, Dad, a friend) You could talk or shout your anger out with someone you feel close to.

Remember, it’s not your fault.
