Mum and Dad’s new friends

You might wish Mum and Dad would get back together. This probably won't happen.

They will probably make new friends and may even go out with some of them.

If Mum or Dad gets a new boyfriend or girlfriend, you might feel funny. This is normal. You might feel jealous. Talk to Mum or Dad about how you feel.

Try to be polite to the new friend. You should decide if you like someone by the way they treat you and talk to you. It's OK to make up your own mind! Your parent's new friend could be fun.

Who knows? They might become friends of yours too. Don't worry, your mum and dad will always be your mum and dad even if they have a new boyfriend or girlfriend.
